However, while APIs have become ubiquitous in modern software development, their documentation often leaves much to be desired.

As a product manager, making decisions is a big part of the job. While we all want to make the right decision every time, sometimes things don't go as planned. It can be tempting to try to stick with a decision, even when it's not working, but I've learned that it's better to be able to reverse course and make a new decision.

mailto: provides a way of creating hyperlinks in websites that will tell your computer to open the default mail client and create a new email without the user having to copy and paste the email address. You can even pre-fill the message subject and content.
